„Mi „penjaci“ koristimo vlastiti konop za penjanje
savladavajuci svakodnevno uspone i padove vlastitog zivota.“
When I was nineteen I thought I was immortal.
I thought I would live forever.
A terrible accident brought a new persspective to my life and the
way I lived thereafter.
I realized that death was something very much linked to life, and that the only two true facts in life are that you were born one day and
that you will die some day.
What happens in between depends on your own way of living.
Heaving been so near death, there is only one thing that kept me going…
that is love for my family. In extreme limit survival situations, the body and the mind are already exhausted and finished.
For me I was able to survive seventy-two days on a glacier in the high Andes because oft the thought that I had go back to my father and sister.
My mother and younger sister were killed in the plane crash.
No training or physical stamina could have saved me.
My only strenght came from thinking about my family.
It gave me power and the chance to live again.
Every day I try to give my family all the love that I can.
There is nothing in life as important.
We all know that when we start our final journey,
the things that made our life worthwhile are not material,
but things of feelings.
So try to enjoy the simple things.
These are the ones you will miss if you are ever in a life-threatening situatiuon.
